I served the Cornish Pasties shown here with duchess potatoes, steamed Brussels sprouts, rutabaga, and a nice Chardonnay. Yum!

Step preview

  1. Add ground pork, potato, rutabaga, onion, carrot, salt and black pepper to a clean large mixing bowl
  2. Mix well until combined then set aside
  3. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  4. Grease a clean baking sheet
  5. Roll out puff pastry onto a clean lightly floured surface
  6. Assemble
  7. Top with butter individually
  8. Press together
  9. Transfer content of lightly floured surface to baking sheet
  10. Add egg and water to a clean small bowl
  11. Whisk until combined
  12. Brush content of lightly floured surface with eggs
  13. Bake until golden brown - 1 hr, 175°C
