A lovely old-fashioned oatmeal raisin cookie, just like grandmother used to make!

Step preview

  1. Line 2 clean baking sheets with parchment paper
  2. Add rolled oats, all purpose flour, wheat germ, baking soda, baking powder, ground cinnamon and salt to a clean large mixing bowl
  3. Whisk briefly until blended
  4. Add unsalted butter, light brown sugar and granulated sugar to a clean stand mixer bowl
  5. Cream together
  6. Add egg to the dough one by one while mixing
  7. Add vanilla extract to the dough
  8. Mix until combined
  9. Transfer dry ingredients to dough
  10. Mix gently until just combined
  11. Add raisins to a clean small bowl
  12. Transfer raisins to dough
  13. Mix until mixture comes together
  14. Chill in fridge - 20 min
  15. Pre-heat oven - 175°C
  16. Scoop dough onto 2 baking sheets
  17. Press lightly
  18. Bake until browned at edges - 12 min, 175°C
  19. Let cool - approx 5 min
  20. Transfer onto cooling rack
