Nice quick recipe, my kids love making them for snacks.

    Ingredients

  • Self raising flour icon
    Self raising flour225 g
  • Baking powder icon
    Baking powder1 teaspoon
  • Salt icon
    Salt½ teaspoon
  • Butter icon
    Butter40 gsoftened
  • Sultanas icon
    Sultanas100 g
  • Water icon
    Water150 ml
  • Egg icon
    Egg1beaten
    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  • 2. Prepare a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  • 3. Add self raising flour, baking powder and salt to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 4. Mix until just combined
  • 5. Add butter to the dough
  • 6. Rub in until fine crumbs form
  • 7. Add sultanas and water to a clean small bowl
  • 8. Transfer fruit to dough
  • 9. Mix until mixture comes together
  • 10. Form into rounds
  • 11. Transfer dough to baking sheet
  • 12. Brush with egg
  • 13. Bake until golden brown - 15 min, 200°C
  • 14. Serve
