Step preview

  1. Pre-heat - 200°C
  2. Prepare a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. Get a clean large mixing bowl
  4. Add self raising flour
  5. Add baking powder
  6. Add salt
  7. Mix until just combined
  8. Add softened butter
  9. Rub in until fine crumbs form
  10. Get a clean small bowl
  11. Add sultanas
  12. Add water
  13. Transfer fruit to dough
  14. Mix until mixture comes together
  15. Form into rounds
  16. Transfer dough to baking sheet
  17. Brush with beaten egg
  18. Bake until golden brown - 15 min, 200°C
  19. Serve
