Serve warm or chilled with whipped cream, ice cream or caramel sauce. This can take less than 3 minutes to throw together. And it is SO delicious. A real, old-fashioned taste from my childhood.

    METHOD


  • 1. Add bread to a clean medium bowl
  • 2. Whisk milk, egg, vanilla extract, maple syrup, brown sugar, nutmeg and salt into a clean medium bowl
  • 3. Pour mixture over bread
  • 4. Let rest - approx 3 min
  • 5. Toss with nuts
  • 6. Grease a clean round pan
  • 7. Transfer bread mixture to round pan
  • 8. Cover with foil
  • 9. Place a clean rack in the inner pot
  • 10. Add water to the inner pot
  • 11. Place round pan on the rack
  • 12. Close and lock the lid and turn the steam release handle to Sealing
  • 13. Pressure cook - Manual, High, 25 min
  • 14. Natural release - 10 min
  • 15. Release pressure - Quick venting
  • 16. Remove onto cooling rack
  • 17. Let cool - approx 3 min
  • 18. Invert onto serving plate
  • 19. Serve
