Step preview

  1. Add oil to the inner pot
  2. Pre-heat until hot - Sauté, Normal
  3. Add pork shoulder to the inner pot
  4. Sauté evenly until lightly browned
  5. Transfer pork to plate and cover
  6. Add water and liquid smoke to the inner pot
  7. Deglaze with a wooden spoon
  8. Sprinkle with kosher salt
  9. Return pork to inner pot
  10. Close and lock the lid and turn the steam release handle to Sealing
  11. Pressure cook - Manual, High, 1 hr 30 min
  12. Natural release
  13. Remove the meat from the pressure cooker and shred with two forks, discarding excess fat as you shred. Add some of the juices from the pressure cooker to moisten the meat.
  14. Serve immediately
