Step preview

  1. Add beef shank to a clean large mixing bowl
  2. Soak with water - 30 min
  3. Drain
  4. Dice
  5. Pre-heat until hot - Sauté, Normal
  6. Add olive oil to the inner pot
  7. Transfer beef to inner pot
  8. Sauté until liquid has evaporated
  9. Transfer content of inner pot to large mixing bowl
  10. Add olive oil to the inner pot
  11. Add chili bean paste and sweet soybean paste to the inner pot
  12. Sauté - approx 30 sec
  13. Add green onion, ginger and garlic clove to the inner pot
  14. Sauté - approx 30 sec
  15. Transfer beef to inner pot
  16. Sauté - 1 min
  17. Add chinese cooking wine, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, salt and water to the inner pot
  18. Close and lock the lid and turn the steam release handle to Sealing
  19. Pressure cook - Manual, High, 38 min
  20. Natural release - 5 min
  21. Release pressure -
  22. Heat - Sauté, More
  23. Cook until reduced while stirring occasionally
  24. Serve
