This family-friendly pasta is reminiscent of the ground beef helper meals many of us grew up with, only better because it’s homemade. Use very lean ground beef in this recipe so you don’t have to take the extra step of draining off the drippings once the meat is browned. Be sure to use taco seasoning that does not contain cornstarch or other thickeners, such as Simply Organic Southwestern Taco Seasoning.

Step preview

  1. Place olive oil on the inner pot
  2. Pre-heat until hot - Sauté, Normal
  3. Then add lean ground beef, taco seasoning and yellow onion to the inner pot
  4. Cook until tender while stirring frequently - Normal, 6 min
  5. Then add campanelle to the inner pot
  6. Stir until coated
  7. Add water, tomato paste and taco seasoning to a clean medium bowl
  8. Whisk
  9. Pour content of medium bowl into inner pot
  10. Stir gently until combined
  11. Add red bell pepper to the inner pot
  12. Close and lock the lid and turn the steam release handle to Sealing
  13. Pressure cook - Manual, Low, 5 min
  14. Release pressure -
  15. Stir gently
  16. Season with salt & pepper
  17. Serve
