This pasta is seriously quick and easy, but amazingly tasty. Ham, asparagus and parmesan. Total match made in food heaven.

  • Asparagus icon
    Asparagus300 gchopped
  • Sliced ham icon
    Sliced ham150 gchopped
  • Baby spinach icon
    Baby spinach60 grinsed
  • Parmesan cheese icon
    Parmesan cheese2 tablespoonsshaved
  • Penne icon
    Penne200 g
  • Frozen peas icon
    Frozen peas60 g
  • Olive oil icon
    Olive oil1 tablespoon
  • Salt & pepper icon

    Method

  • 1. Cook the pasta according to packet directions ~ 8min
  • 2. When the pasta has 2 minutes left to cook, add the asparagus to the water
  • 3. Once, the pasta has cooked and the asparagus is bright green, use a colander to drain the water, then transfer the pasta and asparagus from the colander back into the saucepan
  • 4. Return the saucepan to the stove over medium heat
  • 5. Stir through the ham, spinach, peas and olive oil
  • 6. Gently stir for 2 minutes or until the spinach has wilted and the peas are bright green
  • 7. Season with salt & pepper
  • 8. Divide the pasta between two bowls and top with shaved Parmesan
