Step preview

  1. Get a clean saucepan
  2. Add caster sugar
  3. Add butter
  4. Add chopped medjool dates
  5. Heat gently until melted and let cool - low heat
  6. Add beaten egg
  7. Boil - 2 min, high heat
  8. Add crushed biscuits
  9. Add almond extract
  10. Mix
  11. Line a clean rectangular tart pan with parchment paper
  12. Transfer content of saucepan to rectangular tart pan
  13. Press until smooth
  14. Set in fridge - approx 24 hr
  15. Cut
