Chewy biscuits filled with dates

  • Medjool dates icon
    Medjool dates115 gchopped
  • Egg icon

    Method

  • 1. Add caster sugar, butter and medjool dates to a clean saucepan
  • 2. Heat gently until melted and let cool - low heat
  • 3. Add egg to the saucepan
  • 4. Boil - 2 min, high heat
  • 5. Mix in biscuits and almond extract
  • 6. Line a clean rectangular tart pan with parchment paper
  • 7. Transfer content of saucepan to rectangular tart pan
  • 8. Press until smooth
  • 9. Set in fridge - approx 24 hr
  • 10. Cut
