Make your own marzipan quickly and easily with this recipe. Use the raw marzipan to decorate a cake, or cut into shapes and bake for marzipan cookies.

  • Golden caster sugar icon

    250 g (about 1 ¼ cups)
  • Blanched almonds icon

    250 g (about 1 ½ cups)
  • Almond extract icon
    Almond extract
    ¼ tsp (about 1.1 g)
  • Cornflour icon
    2 tbsp (about 15.9 g)
  • Egg white icon
    Egg white
    1 (about 30 g)

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  2. Add golden caster sugar to the TM5 bowl
  3. Fit TM5 bowl to TM5
  4. Blitz - approx 10 sec, speed 9
  5. Transfer content of TM5 bowl to small bowl then set aside
  6. Add blanched almonds to the TM5 bowl
  7. Blitz - approx 15 sec, speed 7
  8. Then add almond extract, cornflour and egg white to the TM5 bowl
  9. Transfer sugar mixture to TM5 bowl
  10. Mix - approx 40 sec, speed 5
  11. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  12. Flour a clean work surface
  13. Transfer content of TM5 bowl to work surface
  14. Cut into pieces
  15. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  16. Transfer dough to baking sheet
  17. Bake until light golden - 12 min, 160°C
  18. Serve
