Super easy and quick scones with a light, delicate texture. Filled with tart juicy cranberries, orange zest, and orange blossom water for extra flavor. A favorite for holiday brunches and sharing!

    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C / 390°F
  • 2. Prepare a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  • 3. Add all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, granulated sugar and salt to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 4. Whisk together
  • 5. Add unsalted butter and rub in until coarse crumbs form
  • 6. Add orange, buttermilk and orange blossom water
  • 7. Fold in cranberries and mix everything together
  • 8. Turn out on lightly-floured surface
  • 9. Flatten in with your hands until it's about 1" thick and cut out scones
  • 10. Transfer dough to baking sheet
  • 11. Brush with unsalted butter
  • 12. Sprinkle with sugar
  • 13. Bake - 20 min, 200°C / 390°F
