Turn a bottle of inexpensive red wine into a warming, fragrant cocktail that would be a big hit at your next holiday party. This recipe makes use of a slow cooker to create a hassle-free mulled wine.

  • Cinnamon stick icon

  • Cranberry juice icon

  • Brandy icon

    Method

  • 1. Pour red wine, cranberry juice and brandy into a clean slow cooker bowl
  • 2. Stir superfine sugar into the slow cooker bowl
  • 3. Add cloves and orange to the slow cooker bowl
  • 4. Add cinnamon stick to the slow cooker bowl and cover
  • 5. Cook in slow cooker - 1 hr, high heat
  • 6. Cook in slow cooker - 4 hr, low heat
  • 7. Add orange, bay leaves and cranberries to the slow cooker bowl
  • 8. Serve
