  1. Get a clean large mixing bowl
  2. Add peeled, coarsely chopped red onion
  3. Sprinkle with salt evenly
  4. Set aside - approx 5 min
  5. Add peeled, grated garlic clove
  6. Add finely chopped fresh chili
  7. Add grated ginger
  8. Add cumin seeds
  9. Add ground turmeric
  10. Add ground coriander
  11. Mix briefly
  12. Add gram flour
  13. Add rice flour
  14. Add cornstarch
  15. Mix briefly
  16. Add room temperature water
  17. Set aside - approx 5 min
  18. Mix thoroughly
  19. Place a clean saucepan
  20. Add sunflower oil
  21. Heat - medium heat
  22. Fry until crispy then set aside
  23. Serve
