  5. Heat olive oil
  6. Add whole chicken
  7. Fry for 10min until browned
  8. Transfer content of large cast iron skillet to slow cooker bowl
  9. Retrieve large cast iron skillet
  10. Heat olive oil
  11. Add prepared onion
  12. Fry until lightly browned
  13. Add cider
  14. Add dijon mustard
  15. Add superfine sugar
  16. Season with salt & pepper
  17. Boil
  18. Transfer content of large cast iron skillet to slow cooker bowl
  19. Add prepared chicken stock
  20. Add carrot
  21. Add prepared celery stalk
  22. Add lemon
  23. Add tarragon
  24. Cover
  25. Cook to slow cooker for 5h 30min on high heat until cooked through
  26. Transfer content of slow cooker bowl to serving plate
  27. Reserve
  28. Add crème fraîche
  29. Mix in
  30. Season to taste
  31. Serve
