Black bean sauce is a real crowd pleaser. This version is cooked in the slow cooker, meaning you can pop all the ingredients into your slow cooker before you go to work and come up to a deliciously warming meal.

Step preview

  1. Place pork filet on a clean baking dish
  2. Add cornstarch and soy sauce to a clean small bowl
  3. Mix into a fine paste with tablespoon
  4. Add ginger, garlic clove, black bean sauce and black pepper to the marinade
  5. Mix with tablespoon until well combined
  6. Retrieve pork
  7. Pour marinade into pork
  8. Cover with plastic wrap
  9. Marinate overnight
  10. Get a clean slow cooker bowl
  11. Transfer pork to slow cooker bowl
  12. Add chicken stock to the slow cooker bowl and cover
  13. Cook in slow cooker then reduce heat - 30 min, high heat
  14. Cook in slow cooker until cooked through - 8 hr, low heat
  15. Heat sunflower oil to a clean large cast iron skillet
  16. Add mixed vegetables to the large cast iron skillet
  17. Fry until tender
  18. Transfer content of slow cooker bowl to 4 serving plates
  19. Transfer vegetables to 4 serving plates
  20. Serve
