Step preview

  1. Add self raising flour, granulated sugar and baking soda to a clean large mixing bowl
  2. Mix well until completely mixed then set aside
  3. Add butter to a clean medium bowl
  4. Melt in microwave
  5. Add buttermilk to the medium bowl
  6. Warm in microwave
  7. Whisk together
  8. Add egg to the wet ingredients
  9. Whisk together
  10. Transfer wet ingredients to batter
  11. Mix gently until mixture comes together
  12. Cook in frying pan until golden brown - 200°C
