  1. Prep and set aside vine tomatoes: skinned, seeded & chopped
  2. Prep and set aside garlic clove: crushed
  3. Prep and set aside fresh basil: chopped
  4. Get a clean saucepan
  5. Add prepared vine tomatoes
  6. Add vegetable stock
  7. Add extra virgin olive oil
  8. Add prepared garlic clove
  9. Add sugar
  10. Add prepared fresh basil
  11. Heat gently and bring to a boil
  12. Cover then reduce heat
  13. Simmer gently - 30 min
  14. Crumble stale bread
  15. Stir until thickened - low heat
  16. Add balsamic vinegar
  17. Add extra virgin olive oil while mixing
  18. Season with salt & pepper
  19. Serve immediately
