Step preview

  1. Add vine tomatoes, vegetable stock, extra virgin olive oil, garlic clove, sugar and fresh basil to a clean saucepan
  2. Heat gently and bring to a boil
  3. Cover then reduce heat
  4. Simmer gently - 30 min
  5. Crumble stale bread over the saucepan
  6. Stir until thickened - low heat
  7. Add balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil to the saucepan while mixing
  8. Season with salt & pepper
  9. Serve immediately
