Step preview

  1. Add halibut steak to a clean cutting board
  2. Season with salt & pepper lightly
  3. Add olive oil to a clean large cast iron skillet
  4. Heat
  5. Add orange peel and onion to the large cast iron skillet
  6. Sauté gently - 5 min
  7. Add cumin seeds, coriander seeds and garlic clove to the large cast iron skillet
  8. Fry - 3 min
  9. Transfer fish to large cast iron skillet
  10. Mix until coated
  11. Crumble saffron threads over the large cast iron skillet
  12. Pour orange juice and fish stock into the large cast iron skillet
  13. Sprinkle with dates and slivered almonds and cover
  14. Cook until cooked through - 25 min
  15. Season with salt & pepper to taste
  16. Serve
