Method
1. Add onion, ginger, white wine vinegar, star anise pod and cinnamon stick to a clean medium bowl
2. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight
3. Add tea and water to a clean slow cooker bowl
4. Brew - 3 min
5. Squeeze out the tea bags and discard
6. Add pork ribs and cover with marinade
7. Cook in slow cooker - 30 min, high heat
8. Cook in slow cooker - 8 hr, low heat
9. Line a clean baking sheet with foil
10. Pre-heat in broiler - medium-high heat
11. Add soy sauce and honey to a clean small bowl and mix in 6 tbsp of stock from the pot
12. Lift ribs out of the slow cooker pot and transfer to a foil-lined broiler pan
13. Cover with honey glaze and broil until browned - 15 min, medium-high heat
14. Serve
