Slow Cooker Asian Glazed Ribs

Tender, fall off the bone ribs in a sweet, sticky glaze. Start in the slow cooker, then paint with the glaze and crisp up under the broiler. The perfect game day appetizer.

    Method

  • 1. Add onion, ginger, white wine vinegar, star anise pod and cinnamon stick to a clean medium bowl
  • 2. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight
  • 3. Add tea and water to a clean slow cooker bowl
  • 4. Brew - 3 min
  • 5. Squeeze out the tea bags and discard
  • 6. Add pork ribs and cover with marinade
  • 7. Cook in slow cooker - 30 min, high heat
  • 8. Cook in slow cooker - 8 hr, low heat
  • 9. Line a clean baking sheet with foil
  • 10. Pre-heat in broiler - medium-high heat
  • 11. Add soy sauce and honey to a clean small bowl and mix in 6 tbsp of stock from the pot
  • 12. Lift ribs out of the slow cooker pot and transfer to a foil-lined broiler pan
  • 13. Cover with honey glaze and broil until browned - 15 min, medium-high heat
  • 14. Serve
