Step preview

  1. Add sunflower oil to a clean medium cast iron skillet
  2. Heat - high heat
  3. Add pork shoulder to the medium cast iron skillet
  4. Fry until lightly browned - high heat
  5. Get a clean slow cooker bowl
  6. Transfer content of medium cast iron skillet to slow cooker bowl
  7. Add leek to the medium cast iron skillet
  8. Fry until softened - 3 min
  9. Stir in all purpose flour the medium cast iron skillet
  10. Mix in cider and chicken stock to the medium cast iron skillet gradually
  11. Add carrot, apple, salt & pepper and fresh sage to the medium cast iron skillet
  12. Boil while stirring occasionally
  13. Transfer content of medium cast iron skillet to slow cooker bowl and cover
  14. Cook in slow cooker until tender - 8 hr, low heat
  15. Mix self raising flour, shortening, fresh sage, fresh parsley and salt & pepper into a clean small bowl
  16. Pour water into the dough balls gradually
  17. Mix with tablespoon until dough forms
  18. Cut into pieces
  19. Roll into balls
  20. Transfer dough balls to slow cooker bowl and cover
  21. Cook in slow cooker - 1 hr, low heat
  22. Serve
