This pork recipe combines all the comforting flavours of Fall in one dish. Balsamic vinegar cuts through the richness of the pork, while apples add sweet balance.

    Method

  • 1. Add pork ribs to a clean slow cooker bowl
  • 2. Add apple, onion, chicken stock, light brown sugar and balsamic vinegar
  • 3. Add English mustard, cornstarch and water to a clean small bowl
  • 4. Pour water into the small bowl gradually
  • 5. Mix with tablespoon until smooth
  • 6. Transfer mixture to pork and cover
  • 7. Cook in slow cooker - 30 min, high heat
  • 8. Cook in slow cooker until tender - 7 hr 30 min, low heat
  • 9. Garnish with fresh chives
  • 10. Serve with mashed potato and Brussel sprouts
