Step preview

  1. Heat sunflower oil to a clean medium cast iron skillet
  2. Add ground beef and onion to the medium cast iron skillet
  3. Fry evenly until browned
  4. Stir in garlic clove the medium cast iron skillet
  5. Add paprika, ground cumin, red pepper flakes, ground cinnamon and bay leaves to the medium cast iron skillet
  6. Cook - approx 1 min
  7. Add tomato, canned red kidney beans, dark brown sugar, beef stock and bittersweet chocolate to the medium cast iron skillet
  8. Season with salt & pepper
  9. Boil while stirring occasionally
  10. Transfer content of medium cast iron skillet to slow cooker bowl and cover
  11. Cook until just cooked - 9 hr, low heat
  12. Transfer mixture to 4 serving plates
  13. Drizzle with sour cream
  14. Serve
