Step preview

  1. Add whole chicken, star anise pod, garlic clove, soy sauce, onion, carrot, ginger, fresh chili, rice vinegar and light brown sugar to a clean slow cooker bowl
  2. Pour water into the slow cooker bowl
  3. Add cilantro to the slow cooker bowl
  4. Season with salt & pepper and cover
  5. Cook in slow cooker until cooked through - 5 hr 30 min, high heat
  6. Add water and egg noodles to a clean medium bowl
  7. Soak - 5 min
  8. Remove slow cooker bowl
  9. Cover with foil
  10. Add bok choy and snow pea to the slow cooker bowl and cover
  11. Cook in slow cooker - 10 min, high heat
  12. Drain noodles
  13. Transfer noodles to 4 large serving bowls
  14. Transfer content of slow cooker bowl to 4 large serving bowls
  15. Serve
