    Method

  • 1. Add shortening, butter, white sugar and brown sugar to a clean large mixing bowl and cream
  • 2. Add egg and vanilla extract to the dough balls and mix
  • 3. Add all purpose flour, salt, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground cloves and nutmeg to the dough balls
  • 4. Mix until blended
  • 5. Add chocolate chips and walnuts to the dough balls
  • 6. Fold
  • 7. Refrigerate - approx 1 hr
  • 8. Pre-heat oven - 205°C/400°F
  • 9. Scoop and transfer dough balls to baking sheet
  • 10. Bake - 6 min
  • 11. Serve
