Step preview

  1. Pre-heat a clean loaf pan - 180°C
  2. Get a clean large mixing bowl
  3. Add whole wheat flour
  4. Add white flour
  5. Add salt
  6. Add baking soda
  7. Add bran
  8. Add pin head oats
  9. Mix briefly until blended
  10. Add unsalted butter
  11. Rub in until coarse crumbs form
  12. Get a clean medium bowl
  13. Add egg
  14. Whisk briefly until blended
  15. Add milk
  16. Mix briefly until blended
  17. Transfer wet ingredients to large mixing bowl
  18. Mix slowly until well blended
  19. Line loaf pan with parchment paper
  20. Transfer content of large mixing bowl to loaf pan
  21. Sprinkle with mixed seeds
  22. Bake until golden brown and let cool - 40 min, 180°C
