Fresh chili, herbs, almonds and citrus make a unique and delicious pesto-style sauce that goes well with meaty tuna steaks and fresh tagliatelle. Make sure to save a little spoonful of sauce to dollop onto each piece of fish!

Step preview

  1. Add water to a clean large saucepan
  2. Heat until boiling
  3. Add salt and tagliatelle to the pasta
  4. Cook until al dente
  5. Add fresh chili, cilantro, garlic clove, almonds and lime juice to a clean food processor bowl
  6. Process - 10 sec
  7. Pour olive oil into the sauce while machine is running
  8. Season with salt
  9. Heat a clean large cast iron skillet - high heat
  10. Add tuna steak to the large cast iron skillet
  11. Sear each side until just cooked - 2 min, high heat
  12. Transfer fish to 4 serving plates
  13. Slice into halves
  14. Drain pasta
  15. Pour sauce into pasta
  16. Stir until well combined
  17. Divide pasta between 4 serving plates
  18. Garnish with lime
