Fresh chili, herbs, almonds and citrus make a unique and delicious pesto-style sauce that goes well with meaty tuna steaks and fresh tagliatelle. Make sure to save a little spoonful of sauce to dollop onto each piece of fish!

Step preview

  1. Prep and set aside fresh chili: coarsely chopped
  2. Prep and set aside garlic clove: coarsely chopped
  3. Prep and set aside almonds: toasted
  4. Get a clean large saucepan
  5. Add water
  6. Heat until boiling
  7. Add salt
  8. Add tagliatelle
  9. Cook until al dente
  10. Get a clean food processor bowl
  11. Add prepared fresh chili
  12. Add cilantro
  13. Add prepared garlic clove
  14. Add prepared almonds
  15. Add lime juice
  16. Process - 10 sec
  17. Pour olive oil while machine is running
  18. Season with salt
  19. Heat a clean large cast iron skillet - high heat
  20. Add tuna steak
  21. Sear each side until just cooked - 2 min, high heat
  22. Transfer fish to 4 serving plates
  23. Slice into halves
  24. Drain pasta
  25. Pour sauce into pasta
  26. Stir until well combined
  27. Divide pasta between 4 serving plates
  28. Garnish with lime
