Step preview

  1. Add olive oil to a clean large saucepan
  2. Heat - medium heat
  3. Add carrot, onion, celery stalk and portobello mushroom to the large saucepan
  4. Cook while stirring occasionally - 3 min, medium heat
  5. Add garlic clove to the sauce
  6. Cook until softened - 3 min, medium heat
  7. Add ground beef to the sauce
  8. Heat - high heat
  9. Cook until browned - 3 min, high heat
  10. Add water and salt to a clean large saucepan
  11. Boil
  12. Add spaghetti to the pasta
  13. Cook until al dente
  14. Add tomato sauce, water, lemon zest and dried oregano to the sauce
  15. Season with salt & pepper
  16. Reduce heat
  17. Cook gently until thickened - 10 min, low heat
  18. Drain pasta
  19. Transfer pasta to large serving bowl
  20. Spoon sauce into large serving bowl
  21. Grate parmesan cheese into the large serving bowl to taste
  22. Serve immediately
