  4. Get a clean saucepan
  5. Add vegetable oil
  6. Heat
  7. Add smoked bacon
  8. Cook for 5min then set aside
  9. Add butter
  10. Add leek
  11. Cook for approx 4min until softened
  12. Stir in cake flour
  13. Add fish stock
  14. Add milk
  15. Boil
  16. Add diced potato
  17. Simmer for 7min
  18. Arrange prepared cod fillet
  19. Cook for 7min until cooked through
  20. Transfer
  21. Stir in prepared double cream
  22. Add salt & pepper
  23. Warm
  24. Ladle
  25. Garnish with prepared fresh chives
