  1. Add vegetable oil to a clean saucepan
  2. Heat
  3. Add smoked bacon to the saucepan
  4. Cook then set aside - 5 min
  5. Add butter and leek to the saucepan
  6. Cook until softened - approx 4 min
  7. Stir in cake flour to the saucepan
  8. Add fish stock and milk to the saucepan
  9. Boil
  10. Add potato to the saucepan
  11. Simmer - 7 min
  12. Arrange cod fillet in the saucepan
  13. Cook until cooked through - 7 min
  14. Transfer
  15. Stir in double cream to the saucepan
  16. Add salt & pepper to the saucepan
  17. Warm
  18. Ladle
  19. Garnish with fresh chives
