Who doesn't love French toast? This boozy version would make an indulgent weekend treat. For the rum and raisin version, use sliced raisin or cinnamon-raisin bread. But it would be nice with other breads, too!

Step preview

  1. Add egg, vanilla extract, single cream, rum and ground cinnamon to a clean medium bowl
  2. Beat until completely mixed
  3. Add bread slices to the bread
  4. Soak - 2 min
  5. Heat butter to a clean frying pan
  6. Transfer bread to frying pan
  7. Fry each side in frying pan until golden brown - 3 min, medium heat
  8. Serve
