Step preview

  1. Add pork tenderloin to a clean work surface
  2. Season
  3. Heat vegetable oil to a clean Dutch oven
  4. Fry pork in Dutch oven bit by bit
  5. Transfer content of Dutch oven to plate
  6. Add vegetable oil, onion and leek to the Dutch oven
  7. Fry - 5 min, medium heat
  8. Transfer pork to Dutch oven
  9. Add bay leaves and chicken stock to the Dutch oven
  10. Simmer
  11. Stir pearl barley into the Dutch oven and cover
  12. Cook until thickened - 1 hr 30 min, low heat
  13. Add self raising flour, suet and salt & pepper to a clean small bowl
  14. Mix until combined
  15. Add water to the dough
  16. Mix until dough forms
  17. Add prunes to the Dutch oven
  18. Spoon dough into Dutch oven and cover
  19. Cook until light and fluffy - 15 min, low heat
  20. Serve
