  • Cheddar cheese icon

    100g (about ½ cup)
  • Vegetable stock icon
    Vegetable stock
    500ml (2⅛ cups)
  • Cornflour icon
    Cornflour
    2 tbsp (16g)
  • Crème fraîche icon
    Crème fraîche
    150g (about ½ cup)
  • Salt & pepper icon

Step preview

  1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  2. Add cauliflower, leek and vegetable stock to a clean Dutch oven
  3. Cover to simmer - 5 min
  4. Add vegetable stock and cornflour to a clean small bowl
  5. Mix with teaspoon until smooth
  6. Add crème fraîche to the mixture
  7. Stir with teaspoon until completely mixed
  8. Transfer mixture to Dutch oven
  9. Add cheddar cheese to the Dutch oven
  10. Cook - approx 1 min
  11. Season with salt & pepper to taste
  12. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese
  13. Cook until light golden - 20 min, 200°C
  14. Serve bread slices with the Dutch oven
