Step preview

  1. Add olive oil to a clean Dutch oven
  2. Heat - high heat
  3. Add beef filet to the Dutch oven
  4. Fry until light golden - 3 min
  5. Transfer content of Dutch oven to plate
  6. Add olive oil, onion, carrot and celery stalk to the Dutch oven
  7. Add tomato purée, all purpose flour, fresh thyme and red wine to the Dutch oven
  8. Fry until liquid has evaporated - 3 min
  9. Add beef stock to the Dutch oven
  10. Simmer - 15 min
  11. Transfer meat to Dutch oven
  12. Pre-heat broiler - high heat
  13. Add baguette to a clean work surface
  14. Rub garlic clove onto the bread
  15. Arrange bread in Dutch oven on top
  16. Broil until crispy - 3 min
  17. Serve
