Step preview

  1. Prep and set aside flank steak: cubed
  2. Prep and set aside onion: sliced
  3. Prep and set aside red bell pepper: cored, deseeded & diced
  4. Prep and set aside marjoram: chopped
  5. Get a clean Dutch oven
  6. Heat olive oil
  7. Add prepared flank steak
  8. Fry bit by bit until browned
  9. Transfer content of Dutch oven to plate
  10. Get Dutch oven
  11. Add prepared onion
  12. Add prepared red bell pepper
  13. Cook gently until softened - 10 min
  14. Add smoked paprika
  15. Add prepared marjoram
  16. Add caraway seeds
  17. Cook while stirring occasionally - 1 min
  18. Return meat to Dutch oven
  19. Add beef stock
  20. Add tomato purée
  21. Add salt & pepper
  22. Heat until boiling while stirring occasionally
  23. Reduce heat and cover
  24. Cook until thickened - 2 hr, low heat
  25. Serve
