Easy to make old-fashioned pie!

    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 175°C / 350°F
  • 2. In a clean large mixing bowl beat eggs until frothy
  • 3. Add butter, sugar and all purpose flour and beat until smooth
  • 4. Stir buttermilk into the mixture
  • 5. Add vanilla extract, lemon juice and nutmeg and stir until well combined
  • 6. Add basic pie crust to a clean pie dish
  • 7. Pour the buttermilk filling into pie dish
  • 8. Bake until firm - 50 min, 175°C / 350°F
  • 9. Let cool on round wire rack
  • 10. Serve
