Sorbet is a fat-free and dairy-free way to cool down in the summer. We used honeydew melon, but cantaloupe makes a beautifully colored and delicately flavored dessert also.

    Ingredients

  • Lime juice icon
    Lime juice60 g
  • Granulated sugar icon
    Granulated sugar70 g
  • Honey icon
    Honey20 g
  • Melon icon
    Melon700 gpeeled, diced
    Method

  • 1. Add lime juice, granulated sugar and honey to a clean saucepan
  • 2. Heat until dissolved
  • 3. Let cool
  • 4. Add melon cubes to a blender or food processor
  • 5. Pour syrup over the melon
  • 6. Blend together until smooth
  • 7. Chill in the fridge
  • 8. Churn a clean large mixing bowl in ice cream maker
  • 9. Freeze until firm
  • 10. Serve
