Method
1. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
2. Line bottom part of pan with a circle of parchment paper then set aside
3. In a clean large mixing bowl mix together all purpose flour, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, kosher salt and baking soda
4. Mix in egg, granulated sugar, buttermilk, applesauce and canola oil
5. Scrape the bowl and whisk carefully until completely mixed
6. Transfer batter to springform pan
7. Bake springform pan - 55 min, 180°C
8. In a medium bowl blend together cream cheese, sour cream and maple syrup
9. Remove the cake from the oven and let cool
10. Remove parchment paper before frosting and frost the cake
11. Serve
