This is a Thermomix-ready version of Drop's dinner rolls, adapted for the TM5.

  • All purpose flour icon

  • Active dried yeast icon
    Active dried yeast2 ¼ teaspoons
  • Water icon

  • Salt icon

  • Greek yogurt icon

    Method

  • 1. Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
  • 2. Grease a clean large glass bowl and set aside
  • 3. Add all purpose flour, active dried yeast, water, salt, sugar, greek yogurt, egg and unsalted butter to the TM5 bowl
  • 4. Mix with MC in place - 5 sec, speed 5
  • 5. Knead with MC in place - 3 min, dough
  • 6. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  • 7. Transfer dough to large glass bowl
  • 8. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise - 1 hr
  • 9. Punch down and shape into a ball
  • 10. Transfer dough to floured work surface
  • 11. Pre-heat oven - 190°C
  • 12. Cut the dough into 12 equal pieces and roll into balls
  • 13. Place each of them on the baking sheet
  • 14. Add egg and water to a clean small bowl
  • 15. Whisk until combined
  • 16. Brush each roll with egg mixture
  • 17. Bake until golden brown - 20 min, 190°C
  • 18. Once done, let cool on the rack - approx 5 min
