Never say you won’t learn to love tofu! This is completely delicious, crunchy, fragrant, and spicy. It has it all Five star vegetarian, vegan cuisine!

  • Lime icon

    Tofu200 gfirm, patted dry, cut into 6 cm cubes

    Method

  • 1. Make the sauce first - add soy sauce, fresh chili, maple syrup and lime juice to the TM bowl
  • 2. Blend with MC on - 20 sec, speed 8
  • 3. Remove from bowl and set aside
  • 4. Without cleaning the bowl, place EVOO, garlic, shallots and ginger into Thermomix bowl
  • 5. Chop with MC on - 3 sec, speed 6
  • 6. Sauté - 5 min, Varoma, speed 1
  • 7. Sdd fresh chili and spring onions and just stir it through by hand
  • 8. Meanwhile, heat a little bit of additional EVOO in a non stick frying pan to a medium heat
  • 9. Carefully dust each piece of tofu with cornflour and dip one side into the sesame seeds
  • 10. Fry the tofu in batches, refreshing the oil as needed
  • 11. When they are all done, return them all to the frying pan with the ginger mixture from the Thermomix bowl
  • 12. Stir to coat with the mixture
  • 13. Serve immdieately with a drizzle of sesame oil and the plenty of sauce and coriander leaves
