Fragrant, spicy, pretty easy…don’t be put off by the ingredients list…not bad at all really. Hit up your local Asian supermarket and get cracking (not crackling, but speaking of which)…The only thing I could add to this salad to make it even better would be a bit of crispy crackling as a garnish along with the peanuts. It would be divine. Salivation is a wonderful thing, it’s OK; now wipe the screen.

  1. Prep and set aside peanuts: roasted
  2. Fit the TM5 bowl to TM5
  3. Add garlic clove
  4. Add fresh chili
  5. Add lemongrass stalk
  6. Add ground turmeric
  7. Add sugar
  8. Add chinese black vinegar
  9. Add fish sauce
  10. Add sesame oil
  11. Blend for approx 10s
  12. Transfer content of TM5 bowl to small bowl
  13. Retrieve TM5 bowl
  14. Add white pepper
  15. Add cornflour
  16. Blend for approx 6s
  17. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  18. Add ground pork
  19. Transfer dressing to TM5 bowl
  20. Mix for approx 3s
  21. Marinate in fridge for 10min
  22. Sauté for approx 10min
  23. Transfer content of TM5 bowl to medium bowl
  24. Get a clean medium bowl
  25. Add rice noodles
  26. Add boiling water
  27. Cover for approx 5min until just cooked
  28. Retrieve TM5 bowl
  29. Add sliced white cabbage bit by bit
  30. Add scallion
  31. Blend for approx 3s
  32. Scrape down sides of TM5 bowl
  33. Drain medium bowl
  34. Transfer noodles to large serving bowl
  35. Transfer meat to large serving bowl
  36. Transfer content of TM5 bowl to large serving bowl
  37. Top with cilantro
  38. Top with mint
  39. Top with bean sprouts
  40. Sprinkle with prepared peanuts
  41. Garnish with lime
  42. Serve
