  • Onion icon
    Onion120 gchopped
  • Garlic clove icon

  • Chicken stock icon
    Chicken stock720 mlboiling
  • Olive oil icon

    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  • 2. Add olive oil, onion, garlic clove, salt and black pepper to a clean medium cast iron skillet
  • 3. Fry gently until light golden then reduce heat - approx 3 min
  • 4. Add basmati rice to the medium cast iron skillet
  • 5. Fry briefly until coated - approx 1 min
  • 6. Add chicken stock to the medium cast iron skillet
  • 7. Cover tightly with foil
  • 8. Bake immediately until just cooked - 20 min, 180°C
  • 9. Serve immediately
