A lovely and fresh winter cocktail. The cranberry juice goes very well with the thyme and is shaken with fresh blackberries to bring out the pink colour. Cheers!

Step preview

  1. Get a clean saucepan
  2. Add granulated sugar
  3. Add water
  4. Add fresh thyme
  5. Heat until boiling - medium-high heat
  6. Stir continuously until sugar has dissolved
  7. Remove
  8. Let cool until room temperature - approx 10 min
  9. Remove
  10. Get a clean cocktail shaker
  11. Add vodka
  12. Add crème de violette
  13. Add cranberry juice
  14. Add lemon juice
  15. Add seltzer water
  16. Add one third of syrup to cocktail shaker
  17. Add blackberries
  18. Shake
  19. Transfer content of cocktail shaker to cocktail glass
  20. Top with crushed ice
  21. Garnish with blackberries
  22. Garnish with fresh thyme
  23. Serve
