  • Buttermilk icon
    Buttermilk850 ml
  • Treacle icon
    Treacle1 tablespoon
  • All purpose flour icon
    All purpose flour250 g
  • Oats icon
    Oats150 g
  • Whole wheat flour icon
    Whole wheat flour250 g
  • Baking soda icon
    Baking soda1 teaspoon
  • Salt icon
    Salt1 teaspoon
  • Pumpkin seeds icon
    Pumpkin seeds70 g
  • Sunflower seeds icon

    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  • 2. Grease 2 clean loaf pans
  • 3. Add buttermilk and treacle to a clean jug
  • 4. Stir until combined then set aside
  • 5. Add all purpose flour, oats, whole wheat flour, baking soda, salt, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 6. Mix briefly
  • 7. Transfer milk mixture to dough
  • 8. Mix well until combined
  • 9. Transfer dough to 2 loaf pans
  • 10. Sprinkle with mixed seeds
  • 11. Bake - 50 min, 180°C
  • 12. Remove
  • 13. Bake until hollow-sounding when tapped - 10 min, 180°C
