Step preview

  1. Prep and set aside fresh chili: deseeded & finely sliced
  2. Prep and set aside tomato: coarsely chopped
  3. Prep and set aside lima beans: canned, rinsed & drained
  4. Prep and set aside lima beans: canned, rinsed & drained
  5. Prep and set aside canned navy beans: drained & rinsed
  6. Get a clean large roasting dish
  7. Add sausage
  8. Pre-heat on medium-high heat
  9. Cook for 8min until just cooked
  10. Get a clean saucepan
  11. Heat olive oil
  12. Add red onion
  13. Cook for approx 3min on medium heat until softened
  14. Add rosemary
  15. Add prepared fresh chili
  16. Cook for approx 2min
  17. Add prepared tomato
  18. Cook for approx 3min
  19. Add prepared lima beans
  20. Add prepared lima beans
  21. Add prepared canned navy beans
  22. Add tomato purée
  23. Boil
  24. Reduce until simmering
  25. Transfer content of large roasting dish to meat
  26. Simmer for approx 15min on low heat
  27. Stir carefully until thickened
  28. Transfer meat to 4 large serving bowls
  29. Add bread slices
  30. Serve immediately
