These moist, fragrantly spiced lamb meatballs are packed with flavour and simple to make. Don’t be afraid to use your hands to combine the lamb and spices well. The simple herby couscous takes minutes to make and cooling raita or tzatziki complete this tasty meal.

Step preview

  1. Add ground lamb, garlic clove, ground cumin, ground coriander and salt & pepper to a clean medium bowl
  2. Mix well
  3. Shape firmly into balls
  4. Add olive oil to a clean frying pan
  5. Heat in frying pan - medium heat
  6. Transfer meat to frying pan
  7. Fry until browned and continue - 9 min
  8. Boil water in a clean kettle
  9. Add couscous to a clean heatproof bowl
  10. Pour boiling water into heatproof bowl
  11. Cover with plastic wrap - 5 min
  12. Uncover then fluff with a fork
  13. Add fresh parsley and mint to the heatproof bowl
  14. Season
  15. Add feta cheese to the heatproof bowl
  16. Add fresh beet to the heatproof bowl
  17. Stir lightly with tablespoon
  18. Serve
