These moist, fragrantly spiced lamb meatballs are packed with flavour and simple to make. Don’t be afraid to use your hands to combine the lamb and spices well. The simple herby couscous takes minutes to make and cooling raita or tzatziki complete this tasty meal.

Step preview

  1. Prep and set aside garlic clove: crushed
  2. Prep and set aside fresh beet: cooked & chopped
  3. Get a clean medium bowl
  4. Add ground lamb
  5. Add prepared garlic clove
  6. Add ground cumin
  7. Add ground coriander
  8. Add salt & pepper
  9. Mix well
  10. Shape firmly into balls
  11. Get a clean frying pan
  12. Add olive oil
  13. Heat in frying pan on medium heat
  14. Transfer meat to frying pan
  15. Fry for 9min until browned and continue
  16. Get a clean kettle
  17. Boil water
  18. Get a clean heatproof bowl
  19. Add couscous
  20. Pour boiling water into heatproof bowl
  21. Cover with plastic wrap for 5min
  22. Uncover then fluff with a fork
  23. Add chopped fresh parsley
  24. Add chopped mint
  25. Season
  26. Add crumbled feta cheese
  27. Add prepared fresh beet
  28. Stir lightly with tablespoon
  29. Serve
