  • All purpose flour icon

    Method

  • 1. Pre-heat oven - 221°C
  • 2. Grease a clean square pan
  • 3. Add all purpose flour, cornmeal, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt to a clean medium bowl
  • 4. Mix until combined
  • 5. Add salted butter to a clean small glass bowl
  • 6. Melt in microwave - low heat
  • 7. Add milk and egg to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 8. Beat until combined
  • 9. Transfer content of small glass bowl to batter
  • 10. Mix until combined
  • 11. Transfer dry ingredients to batter
  • 12. Mix briefly until just combined
  • 13. Transfer batter to square pan
  • 14. Bake until skewer tests clean - 20 min, 221°C
  • 15. Cut into squares
