Step preview

  1. Get a clean large saucepan
  2. Add peeled, diced potato
  3. Add salt
  4. Cover with water
  5. Heat until boiling
  6. Simmer until tender - approx 10 min
  7. Drain well
  8. Mash with potato masher until smooth
  9. Add salted butter
  10. Add all purpose flour
  11. Add egg
  12. Season with ground black pepper
  13. Stir together until completely mixed
  14. Turn out on lightly-floured surface
  15. Divide into halves
  16. Roll out
  17. Cut into quarters
  18. Cook in frying pan until golden brown - medium heat
  19. Serve immediately
