Rich and sweet dough, great for pastry and savory fillings. This dough is refrigerated until use, taking some each day to bake with. 5 days in fridge or freeze portions for up to 1 month.

Step preview

  1. Add water, kosher salt, dried yeast, egg and honey to a clean large mixing bowl
  2. Add salted butter to the large mixing bowl
  3. Mix until combined
  4. Add bread flour to the large mixing bowl
  5. Combine until mixture comes together
  6. Pour in plastic container and let rise - 2 hr
  7. Refrigerate until cold - approx 3 hr
  8. Pre-heat - 175°C
  9. Shape
  10. Bake until golden brown and let cool - 45 min, 80°C
