Rich and sweet dough, great for pastry and savory fillings. This dough is refrigerated until use, taking some each day to bake with. 5 days in fridge or freeze portions for up to 1 month.

    Method

  • 1. Add water, kosher salt, dried yeast, egg and honey to a clean large mixing bowl
  • 2. Add salted butter and mix until combined
  • 3. Add bread flour and combine until mixture comes together
  • 4. Pour in plastic container and let rise - 2 hr
  • 5. Refrigerate large mixing bowl until cold - approx 3 hr
  • 6. Pre-heat the oven - 175°C / 350°F
  • 7. Shape the dough
  • 8. Bake until golden brown and let cool - 45 min
