    Method

  • 1. Add fennel seeds, salt and black peppercorns to a clean frying pan
  • 2. Heat until fragrant - medium heat
  • 3. Crush with mortar and pestle
  • 4. Transfer spices to small bowl
  • 5. Add cane sugar and lemon to the spices and mix briefly
  • 6. Heat vegetable oil to a clean saucepan
  • 7. Add popcorn kernels and swirl them in the hot oil
  • 8. Transfer popcorn to large mixing bowl
  • 9. Mix spices into popcorn
