Step preview

  1. Pre-heat - 175°C
  2. Grease 2 clean mini doughnut pans
  3. Add all purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, allspice, ground cloves, salt and brown sugar to a clean large mixing bowl
  4. Whisk briefly until combined
  5. Add egg, milk and applesauce to the batter
  6. Add unsalted butter to a clean small bowl
  7. Melt in microwave - low heat
  8. Transfer content of small bowl to batter
  9. Mix until well combined
  10. Transfer batter to 2 mini doughnut pans
  11. Bake until springy to touch - 7 min, 175°C
  12. Add unsalted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, milk and powdered sugar to a clean saucepan and mix
  13. Heat until just boiling
  14. Dip content of mini doughnut pans into glaze
  15. Transfer mini doughnut pans onto cooling rack
  16. Let cool until set
