A few days ago when casually browsing recipes for inspiration, I saw a link for the "Best Ever 5-Minute Microwave Hummus." This clickbait-y title would normally make me turn around and run for the door, but for whatever reason, I decided to check it out. I'm glad I did, because this recipe is about zero effort and maximum reward. Eat it right away or put it in the fridge, it gets better with time and lasts for up to two weeks refrigerated.

Step preview

  1. Get a clean small bowl
  2. Add canned canned chickpeas
  3. Add peeled garlic clove
  4. Heat in microwave - approx 4 min 30 sec
  5. Transfer mixture to food processor bowl
  6. Add tahini
  7. Add lemon juice
  8. Add salt
  9. Blend - approx 30 sec
  10. Add olive oil gradually while blending
  11. Blend until smooth
  12. Transfer purée to serving plate
  13. Drizzle with olive oil
  14. Dust with paprika
  15. Serve
